Constitution And Rules

1. The club shall be called: Friockheim and District Walkers.

2. The club shall be governed by a Committee of five members. These are President, Secretary, Treasurer    and two Committee members. Three Committee members to form a quorum.

3. The Committee shall be responsible for the running of club affairs.

4. The President as Chairman shall be in charge of all official club meetings. The Chairman has casting vote in all circumstances.

5. The Secretary/meet Secretary shall record the minutes of all official club meetings. These minutes will be proposed and seconded, and thereafter signed by the Chairman. All official correspondence shall be dealt with through the Secretary. 

6. The Treasurer shall be responsible for all the financial dealings of the club.

7. The meet Secretary/Secretary shall be responsible for obtaining names of members on club meets. 

8. The two other Committee members will be designated duties as and when required.

9. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in October. Ten Members other than juniors to form a quorum. Reports from Committee will be presented at A.G.M. Committee Members shall be re-elected every year.

10. Yearly membership fees shall be as determined at A.G.M. by the previous committee.

11. Junior members should be aged 10 and over and under 16 years, but shall not hold the right to vote.

12. In the absence of the President form meetings ar walks, the final decision will be made int the following order: Secretary, Treasurer, 1st Member, 2nd Member. 

13. Official walks will be held on 3rd Sunday of each month with meetings being held on the Thursday before each walk.

14. Junior members must be accompanied by at least one senior member on walks.

15. The club shall not be liable for any accident whatsoever while on the walk.

16. The minimum number in party on walks - four senior members.

17. All names for the Sunday walks must be notified to Meet Secretary by Saturday, 7.00pm.

18. No dogs allowed on club walks.

19. Visitors will come under the same rules as club members and will be expected to become club members on third walk.

20. In the event of the club being disbanded, any monies in account after all payments made, shall be donated to Tayside Civilian Mountain Rescue Team.
